We get a lot of questions here at Clawndoms.

No, that's a lie. But here are some things you're probably wondering about.

What’s a Clawndom anyway?

Great question! It's a nail cap that fits over your kitty's claws to contain the damage. Protection is the name of the game.

Clawndoms are made of a vinyl resin, not to be confused with vinyl records.

How do I attach them?

Black magic. I mean...surgical glue. Don't worry, it's included. Trim the claws, drip a couple of drops into the nail cap, and apply. Be sure to hold the kitty still for a few minutes to let the glue set. We're all praying for you. Oh, and you can find directions here.

Ooh, that sounds like it could hurt...

First of all, that's not a question, but whatever. No, it doesn't hurt unless your cat has some sort of injury or infection already. In which case, please take your cat to the vet and deal with that shit. Don't be a monster.

Second of all, ok, maybe it'll hurt their pride a little depending on the color selection you make, but we're pretty sure that's not what you meant.

How many cats is too many?

We're still counting. We'll let you know.

How often do I need to reapply? (Please say never, please?!)

Every 4-6 weeks on average, depending on how active your kitty is. But look on the bright side, you'll have lots of fun discovering stray Clawndoms as your cat deposits them around your home. It's like that roommate you had in college who did the same thing with actual condoms. See? It's all about perspective.

TL;DR Caveat emptor

Be careful if you've got little ones who put everything in their mouths. As the Clawndoms shed, you'll get to play the fun game of finding them around your home.

You can count on Clawndoms sticking around for 4-6 weeks. The adhesive is serious- just ask our fingertips! Be cautious when you apply to not overfill the Clawndoms.

100% reasonable expectation guarantee - as long as you have reasonable expectations, you won't be disappointed. But we'll refund or replace the Clawndoms regardless.

Check out the handy size chart so you have someone else to blame when you select the wrong size.

Clawndoms will shed as your cat's claws continue to grow. If for some reason they stick around like a bad case of the clap, snip the tip and gently apply pressure at the base of the nail cap. Be careful not to cut the quick- we're serious, just the tip. If the cat's paw is hurt or the nail looks troubled, be sure to seek help from your vet.

In theory, Clawndoms won't interfere with your cat's behavior or habits. In reality, cats are unique and not all of them will react in the same way. Keep an eye on your cat and if it doesn't adjust easily to the Clawndoms, remove them- they're not the right solution for you.

So this is legit veterinary advice, right?

No. This, as we've established, is largely a combination of hard earned life experience, black magic, and prayer. Don't do something stupid like delay seeking medical care for your cat based on anything you read on our site. We suggest you take this with a grain of salt (read: for reference only) and always consult with a vet if you have questions about your cat's health.
